Resolve "timeline viewer: "add asset" -> "select" -> "search" not working properly"

Böhm, Jean requested to merge 882-add-asset-search into master

#882 (closed) stays open. I couldn't find a reason why it's not working. I just removed the layout shift why searching. @anton.koch can you check if the problem is in the backend?
