It would be great if we could implement the 3D viewer (so that's basically this one: #2072) but also add the option to draw the spaghettis like in you CCL prototpye. Maybe saving + dowloading a png of the drawing you created would be great (would also be great just for the 3d viewer, so you can for example look at a pose from the top and save it as an image).
However, in a next step you could continue towards creating the 3d sculpture you planned to create. Maybe you could make it optional: If someone prefers spaghettis that's the basic drawing in space option. If one wishes to turn it into a full 3d sculpture this an additional option that can be selected.
Both the 3D viewer and the spaghetti drawing (or even 3d object generation) does not have to be perfect and perfectly work with all kinds of data. It's just a test to see if that's something the students in Berlin would like to work with (in the future) or how we could turn into a useful creative feature.Hansen, ChristianHansen, Christianhttps://gitlab.rlp.net/motionbank/applications/systems-frontend/-/issues/2126Save/download 2d pose as png/svg2024-01-09T15:12:15+01:00Rittershaus, DavidSave/download 2d pose as png/svgI'm trying to offer the HZT group in Berlin in October a few more options that might be helpful for more creative rather than analytical work.

One idea is to offer the option to save and/or download single poses (stick figures) one finds interesting as images (png & svg). Exemplary use case: select 5 poses from a recording, adopt them physically and bodily "interpolate" between the poses (Mr Griddle like). Or you just do something graphical with it, print a series of poses, create an overlay with several poses.
Could be combined with: #1823 but that's optional. However, the zoomed skeleton dialog would probably be a good place for a "save as" button.
Compared to the following image, the saved png could/should be with a transpartent background, so you can use the skeleton only in another context (image, image series, etc.). I would also prefer black thin lines instead of the green lines, similar to the second image below (which is not produced with our tool and is just an example.)
@christian.hansen: maybe you take a look at this alongside with the 3D viewer (and the 3D spaghetti)? Workshop in Berlin starts on October 12th, so maybe testing it the week before would be great.

If you want to do collaborative live annotation this messes up the whole timeline because everyone who joins is forced to add a new live annotation item to the timeline and in the end you have to know which is the one for syncing video recording and annotations and you have to delete all others.
I guess we can keep the page as it is, but add a "skip" button to it which allows you to get to the live annotation input without starting a session and without creating a live session item.

Same with existing timelines where the "last file" on the timeline is an image. I guess this is because of the missing end time. One reason is usability: if you have many videos on a Timeline it's really painful to always scroll to the latest video to get to the post-annotator. A table that can be sorted in different ways would be very helpful. A second reason is more conceptually: content wise it does not always make sense to display the items on the timeline sorted by date (and in a linear way). So, it's a bit about "hiding" the underlying timeline structure and sort elements by author, for example, instead of chronologically.
I don't know how complicated it is. I imagine something like the files page + "annotate" button. The current Timeline Viewer should still be the default view with the option to switch to table view via button. If this is a huge project, let me know. Otherwise it would be great if you @christian.hansen or @maximilian.mittermei could take that on.Mittermeier, MaximilianMittermeier, Maximilianhttps://gitlab.rlp.net/motionbank/applications/systems-frontend/-/issues/2110fix error when opening overlay: no skeleton is selected2023-10-17T15:01:25+02:00Hansen, Christianfix error when opening overlay: no skeleton is selectedhttps://gitlab.rlp.net/motionbank/applications/systems-frontend/-/issues/2109use dropdown menu for skeleton selection in overlay2024-01-09T12:51:27+01:00Hansen, Christianuse dropdown menu for skeleton selection in overlay
