If you want to do collaborative live annotation this messes up the whole timeline because everyone who joins is forced to add a new live annotation item to the timeline and in the end you have to know which is the one for syncing video recording and annotations and you have to delete all others.
I guess we can keep the page as it is, but add a "skip" button to it which allows you to get to the live annotation input without starting a session and without creating a live session item.

It would also be a nice to have feature but it's also not critical. In case this is a "low" or "lower hanging fruit" it would be great to implement it though (it was also quite high on the wishlist coming from Cologne in the beginning).
This is not about adding a hashtag to an annotation, but really on the files page (so I guess to the metadata of the files) and I'm not sure if this is possible and/or how complicated it is.
The use case: if you upload a bunch of videos with physical exercises for example, you could add a #knee hashtag if the exercise is meant to strengthen knee stability. Another one gets the #shoulders because the exercise is for better relaxing shoulders etc. etc.
In the end it would be great if you could either apply a hastag as a filter to the files list or at least sort the files by hashtag to be able to quickly retrieve/ find all files (and thus exercises given the example above) tagged with a specific term.
In the beginning of the vortanz development, it was the idea to use such a feature to fulfill the feature request of having "subfolders" on the files page which does not come with the same flexibity (orginal feature request: beeing able to create a subfolder on the files page with a specific topic or related to a specific project).https://gitlab.rlp.net/motionbank/applications/systems-frontend/-/issues/1850Option to download "raw" vortanz container data2023-08-31T16:48:38+02:00Rittershaus, DavidOption to download "raw" vortanz container dataJust because timeline export came up again, I was reminded of something I had in mind for some time already and I'll just add it to the list without high priority: it would be great if users can export/download the raw data that is provi...Just because timeline export came up again, I was reminded of something I had in mind for some time already and I'll just add it to the list without high priority: it would be great if users can export/download the raw data that is provided by the vortanz containers, e.g. the pose data or the transcription. Maybe there could be an option in context menu of files (files page).

One reason is usability: if you have many videos on a Timeline it's really painful to always scroll to the latest video to get to the post-annotator. A table that can be sorted in different ways would be very helpful. A second reason is more conceptually: content wise it does not always make sense to display the items on the timeline sorted by date (and in a linear way). So, it's a bit about "hiding" the underlying timeline structure and sort elements by author, for example, instead of chronologically.
I don't know how complicated it is. I imagine something like the files page + "annotate" button. The current Timeline Viewer should still be the default view with the option to switch to table view via button. If this is a huge project, let me know. Otherwise it would be great if you @christian.hansen or @maximilian.mittermei could take that on.Mittermeier, MaximilianMittermeier, Maximilianhttps://gitlab.rlp.net/motionbank/applications/systems-frontend/-/issues/1610Feature: creator of a group should be able to decide on visibility of annotat...2023-08-23T12:32:00+02:00Rittershaus, DavidFeature: creator of a group should be able to decide on visibility of annotations (own vs group)I know this might be a bit tricky but I ran into a major methodological issue regularly when students/people were annotating the same video (at the same time). The annotations of other steer the own annotation process way too much into one direction (it really fixes meaning, interpretation, focus) and narrows down the perspective on the content drastically.
Especially as teacher I would like to have the option to decide when I want the students to also see the annotations that others created. So, they are first invited to annotate a video without seeing the annotations of others while the creator of a group (e.g. teacher) can at some point decide to make all annotations visible. I consider this to be crucial, especially for use cases linked to #cotanz but would like to have it included in #vortanz as well. @anton.koch, do you think this could be implemented as part of the group management? It would be even better if the creator of the group/teacher could still see all annotations (e.g. make use of the cotanz features) but members only see the annotations of other members when released by the group creator, but that's not crucial.Cotanz Feature: Work GroupsMittermeier, MaximilianMittermeier, Maximilianhttps://gitlab.rlp.net/motionbank/applications/systems-frontend/-/issues/2115Video conversion does not preserve ratio (distorted videos in portrait format)2023-08-23T11:43:35+02:00Rittershaus, DavidVideo conversion does not preserve ratio (distorted videos in portrait format)This is probably not a front-end issue but not sure where to drop it. So, it would be cool if the context menu of a file allows you to select "add to timeline", select the timeline you want to add it to and adds it to that selected timeline (plus maybe redirects you to the timeline afterwards). It would be even cooler if you could select multiple files and add them all to a timeline at once (added to the timeline one after another, similar to "after last file").https://gitlab.rlp.net/motionbank/applications/systems-frontend/-/issues/1631Add document viewer to system?2023-08-21T10:40:10+02:00Rittershaus, DavidAdd document viewer to system? This was already a request in the past and I think for the use cases at HZT (and also HfMDK) it would be great to be able to add documents to your timeline.
